Scribbles of Strength: Write to Heal
Join narrative healthcare professional and lived experience expert Emily Coolbeth in a transformative creative writing workshop designed to foster healing, build confidence and promote joy and gratitude. Emily will guide participants through grounding and writing exercises designed to tap into both areas of positive awareness as well as hurt and woundedness in order to address, honor and transform our places of pain into places of power.
Workshop is $30 a person and each participant will receive a copy of the book Soul Bird: Poems for Flying by Deborah Anne Quibell.
No creative writing experience is necessary to participate.
Dog Lovers Book Club
Calling all dog lovers (and non-dog lovers). It is no secret at The Reading Attic that we are a fan of dogs. We are partnering with The Drafty Dane to host a book club! We will meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:30pm upstairs in the bar of Drafty Dane. Drinks will be available for purchase and once we are finished you can make your way down to the field for your pup to play! Dogs are of course welcome but must be leashed when upstairs.
Books will vary in topic & genre, but will all be Adult Fiction.
Our first book will be The Adjunct by Maria Adelmann, author of How to be Eaten.

Yoga Among the Stacks

Lead by Adrienne Achille a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She teaches a variety of classes including yoga sculpt, hot power, vinyasa, and restorative. Adrienne currently teaches at Mindful Owl Yoga in Woodstock and free yoga on Monday nights at The Battery Atlanta. Adrienne offers private yoga classes and books events. She believes that yoga is for everyone and works to offer different variations of poses.
